Youth Science Canada honours Carole Charlebois

Carole Charlebois, executive director of the Conseil de développement du loisir scientifique (CDLS) from 1990 to 2011, was named an honorary life member by Youth Science Canada, an honor awardedfor outstanding contribution to the mission of the organization.

 

Deeply involved in the boards of Youth Science Canada and the International Movement for Leisure science and technology, Carole Charlebois has contributed to the development of Canada Wide Science Fair and MILSET International Science Fair. By the partnerships she has developed over the years with valued partners like Merck or Hydro-Québec, she contributed allowing hundreds of young people to access these events and to experience being part of the delegation Quebec to the "pancan" or the "ESI."


After having worked for 21 years to the promotion of science and technology among young Quebecers, Ms. Charlebois will retire from the CDLS from 22 December.
